Cultivating Transformative Healing Through the Most Essential of Set and Settings
Dr. Angela Beers is launching an exciting new venture, MindSet Integration Psychological Services—a practice built on the principles of traditional healing, community, and transformation. Coming from a heritage blended with Indigenous Mexican and European roots, Dr. Beers centers her work on culturally responsive, community-based care and draws from Indigenous traditions that meaningfully inform her approach to therapy and integration. These guiding values not only inform the services provided at MindSet Integration but also shape the intentional, collaborative environment she cultivates and the kind of clinicians she invites into the practice.
Dr. Angela Beers began her psychology career in 2008 with a master’s degree in Michigan, followed by a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2015. While raising young children, she co-founded Crescent Roots Psychological Services, where she served as Co-Director, Co-Owner and lead clinician from December 2018 through October 2024. Now at MindSet Integration, Dr. Beers is cultivating a transformative healing space that weaves together clinical expertise and spiritual insight, personal growth and collective healing—all viewed through an intersectional, client-centered lens.
As part of this vision, Dr. Beers is inviting licensed clinicians in Michigan and Colorado to join the team, including Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs), Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs), and Limited Licensed Psychologists (LLPs in Michigan). She also welcomes other limited license clinicians whose training, experience, and areas of specialty align with the practice’s values and focus. Clinicians at MindSet Integration receive competitive pay aimed at promoting financial stability and fulfillment, allowing them to bring their full presence, passion, and creativity to their work.
Throughout her career, Dr. Angela Beers has made impactful contributions to the fields of clinical psychology and psychedelia. Her professional journey includes roles with the Michigan Department of Corrections and American Indian Health and Family Services in Detroit. In her current work, she has focused on conducting psychological assessments for adults with various diagnoses, including Autism. She has also shared her insights at the Humanistic Psychology Conference, presenting in cities like Santa Barbara and Chicago. More recently, she organized and moderated the first all-Indigenous-led panel at the MAPS Psychedelic Science Conference, and presented at Harvard Law School’s Petrie-Flom Center. Dr. Beers also taught future clinicians at institutions like Naropa University and Macomb Community College. She has also made meaningful contributions to her community as a policy reform advocate, dedicated to protecting traditional practices, ensuring client safety, and preventing the exploitation of sacred natural medicines. Most recently, she served as a stakeholder in drafting SB23-290, Colorado’s Natural Medicine Regulation and Legalization Bill. Her work helped shape licensing and regulatory guidelines for facilitators, promote safety standards, and support ethical implementations in the Natural Medicine Health Act of 2022. Additionally, she played a key role in establishing the Federally Recognized American Tribes and Indigenous Community Working Group, created to examine the impacts of legalization on Indigenous peoples and to provide guidance on the responsible regulation of natural medicines and related practices.
Her therapeutic work focuses on healing intergenerational trauma, identity exploration and expression, domestic and intimate partner violence, life transitions, and the expansion of consciousness, creativity, and spiritual inquiry—especially within marginalized and historically excluded communities. Through MindSet Integration, she continues her mission to cultivate spaces for deep, embodied healing that honor both science and spirit. The practice is a proud LGBTQIA+ allied and affirming space.
MindSet Integration Psychological Services offers more than therapy. The practice also provides consulting, education, training, Sacred Breathwork™, Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy, and psychedelic integration support, where appropriate and in accordance with local, state, and federal laws. While primarily a Telehealth practice, in-person gatherings will be offered. For inquiries about integration, KAP services, or joining the team, please reach out directly.
